When Bruce was twenty-one years old, he changed his name and traveled the world in search of an assassin named Ducard for training. Eight years later, after being thrown in prison by police in China for theft, a man who identifies himself as Ducard invites Bruce to join an elite vigilante group, the League of Assassins. | ||||

After being freed the next day, Bruce travels to the top of a mountain to begin his combat training with the League. In his training, Bruce overcomes his fear of bats, but when Ducard orders Bruce to execute a murderer as a final test, Bruce refuses to obey. training himself to intellectual and physical perfection. | ||||

After destroying the League's headquarters, Bruce Wayne returns to Gotham City and begins plotting a one-man war against the corrupt system. Meanwhile, assistant district attorney Harvey Dent starts to become targeted by Carmine Falcone and his associates. | ||||

After reestablishing his connections to his father's company, Wayne Enterprises, Bruce seeks the help of police sergeant James Gordon and former board member Lucius Fox to make him body armor and a prototype armored car. Bruce and Alfred begin building the Bat-Cave, and Bruce determines what he shall be called, after a bat crashes through his window. | ||||

After saving Harvey Dent's life from an assassin hired by Falcone, Batman provides Harvey with evidence capable of indicting Falcone. Meanwhile, while in jail, Dr. Jonathan Crane introduces Falcone with "fear gas" causing him to go insane. | ||||

While investigating the "unusual" drugs in the shipment, Batman is sprayed by The Scarecrow with a highly potent dose of fear nerve gas. | ||||

When Bruce Waynes wealthy parents are shot and killed as a young boy, he is then raised by The family's butler, Alfred Pennyworth. When Bruce was eighteen years old, he decided to fight crime to protect the innocent from what happened to him. But, soon realized that he cannot truly understand what he intends to fight as a wealthy playboy, he abandons his life at home, stowing away on a cargo ship and traveling the world for nearly four years. Years later, after being thrown in prison by police in China for theft, a man who identifies himself as Ducard invites Bruce to join an elite vigilante group, the League of Assasins, under the leadership of Ra's al Ghul.after which, he was raised by The family's butler, Alfred Pennyworth.
